About a decade of building and running small businesses, and the offhand yes that started it.
I didn't set out to become a business broker.
Like a lot of entrepreneurs, I simply said yes to an opportunity. One business led to another, and over the next decade I found myself building and running companies in industries ranging from brewery software and commercial cleaning to helping scale a consulting firm.
Those experiences shaped how I think about business ownership. I know what it feels like to make payroll, grow a team, solve problems that nobody else sees, and slowly realize that your business becomes part of your identity.
Today, I help owners navigate one of the biggest decisions they'll ever make: selling the business they've spent years building. Every transaction has financial considerations, but behind every business decision is a human one. That's the part of this work that matters most to me.
My own path has been anything but linear. Along the way I've changed direction, travelled, faced setbacks, and learned that the most valuable lessons in business rarely come from business itself. Those experiences shape the way I work today: with honest advice, thoughtful preparation, and a long-term perspective on what makes a successful transition.
I call Squamish, BC home, where I chose to build both my business and my life. From there, I work with business owners across Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and the Sea to Sky corridor.
I work as part of Breakwater M&A, a BC-based advisory firm. You get a direct relationship with me, with a full firm's tools and buyer network behind it.
